We’re on MSNBC

MSNBC Homepage

It’s only been a few weeks since we made the homepage of the NY Times, but today I went to MSNBC.com and found a video of myself sitting right dab smack between an Alabama gunman and Obama on MSNBC’s homepage. That was definately not something I expected when I interviewed with Eve Tahmincioglu, the reporter, or even when their production crew came to my apartment to shoot the segment.

Welcome to all the new visitors! I hope you’re all as pleasantly surprised with this site as I am to have so many new people visiting my little blog.

In case you missed the story and are curious to see me fumble for words as I describe the gen-X experience, here’s the link.

Yay! Well-deserved congratulations! But about being “right dab smack between an Alabama gunman and Obama,” all I can say is, “Duck!” :-)

This is huge, Marc. Congrats, so happy for you.

You should totally become a food writer, you have gotten all the chops, really. Food blogging is really viable, I tell you, and you have a perfect opportunity now to pursue it.

    Good luck!

PS: What about trying for Top Chef??? ;)

Very nice! I have had the privilege to have my Open Mic stuff written about, and once a food critic was hiding in a wine pairing dinner I did in New Brunswick and wrote that I was a ‘Power House’, so it can rock when we get to be highlighted for our efforts, so cool…

Although now I feel that what you went through with your dot com experience was not so great! My husband also went through the same ordeal and that is why we moved up north, because we lost so much on the dot com deals, and he had not job, so he had to start taking contracts all over, and a huge pay cut. Our savings flew out the window! I wished he cooked like you, but he is the wine guy, I am the chef :) Jobs for me were also hard to come by in the south for women in the kitchen…
