Redolent of sweet spices like cinnamon, anise and cloves, this five spice chicken is comforting and delicious over a bowl of steaming hot rice. It does take a day to marinade, but it roasts in the oven for less then 15 minutes, so it can still be a quick weeknight meal with a little planning.
