CALIFORNIA SUSHI BOWL
Avocado, crab and cucumber sushi bowl.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 batch sushi rice - 2 teaspoon sesame seeds - 1/2 sheet nori (cut into thin strips) - 1 avocado - 1 cucumber (julienned) - 180 grams crab meat - 2 tablespoons tobiko (optional) - Green shiso (optional) - Daikon sprouts (optional) - Citrus zest (optional) - 1 tablespoon soy sauce - 1 teaspoon rice vinegar - 1/2 teaspoon wasabi

Whisk the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and wasabi together.
MAKE SAUCE

Add sushi rice to bowl and top with sesame seeds and nori.
SUSHI RICE

Halve avocado, remove pit, and peel. Trim top off of each half and then slice the halves into 1/16-inch thick slices.
CUT AVOCADO

Splay the avocado slices out into a thin line.
SPREAD AVOCADO

Roll the avocado slies into a spiral like this.
ROLL AVOCADO

Spread the slices of avocado out from the center to bloom the rose.
OPEN THE PETALS

Arrange the cucumbers, leaves, and crab around the avocado.
ARRANGE TOPPINGS

Garnish with tobiko and citrus zest.
