PANKO SHRIMP (EBI FRY)

Panko crusted Japanese fried shrimp

Shell, devein, and brine the shrimp before brining it with the baking soda and salt. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

CLEAN & PREP SHRIMP

Whisk the egg and water together until uniform and then add the flour and whisk until free of lumps.

MAKE THE BATTER

Dip the shrimp in the batter and then transfer to the panko.

BATTER SHRIMP

Cover the battered shrimp with panko and press gently to ensure it sticks.

BREAD SHRIMP

Deep-fry the shrimp in 340 degree F (170 C) oil for about 3 minutes or until golden brown.

FRY SHRIMP

Drain the fried shrimp on paper towels and serve.
