HOW TO PACK BENTO

Learn how to pack a Japanese lunchbox with these creative bento box ideas.

Add rice to one side of your bento box. This always forms the base for the bento.

Add whatever entree you're packing with your rice. In this case I've added maple miso chicken.

Frilly lettuce not only makes good separators, it can also be used to fill in gaps in your bento box. Long skinny veggies like edamame, cucumber sticks, and snap peas are another way to fill space.
