Adding matcha to oatmeal turns it into a beautiful, tasty, and healthy breakfast that's loaded with fiber and antioxidants with a brain boosting dose of caffeine.
FOR MATCHA OATMEAL - 48 grams rolled oats (~1/2 US cup) - 1 cup water - 1 teaspoon matcha FOR SWEET TOPPINGS - coconut cream - toasted pumpkin seeds - unrefined sugar - raspberries - blueberries
Bring the water to a full boil in a pot and add the rolled oats.
Set the timer for 10 minutes, lower the heat to maintain a gentle simmer and stir the oatmeal periodically until the timer goes off.
Remove the pot from the heat and sift the matcha into it.
Stir the matcha into the oatmeal until it's a uniform shade of green.
Top the matcha oatmeal with fresh fruit, seeds, nuts and your favorite milk (I used coconut cream).
