SPINACH & SESAME SALAD

Japanese spinach salad tossed with a 3-ingredient sesame sauce.

Grind the toasted sesame seeds with a mortar & pestle, coffee grinder, or food processor.

GRIND SESAME SEEDS

Mix the ground sesame, sugar and soy sauce until it forms a crumbly paste.

MIX SESAME SAUCE

Add the spinach to a pot of boiling water, stems and roots first and blanch for 1-minute. 

BOIL SPINACH

Transfer the spinach to a bowl of cold water to chill and then squeeze out excess liquid. 

CHILL SPINACH

Chop the spinach into 1 1/2-inch lengths.

CHOP SPINACH

Mix the spinach together with the sesame sauce and serve.
