TACO RICE (OKINAWA-STYLE)

An easy, satisfying rice plate topped with taco meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.

Mix the ketchup, soy sauce, sake, and salt together to make the sauce for the taco meat.

MIX SAUCE

Saute the onions and garlic until they're translucent and just starting to brown.

Add the ground meat and chili powder and cook, crumbling the meat with the side of a spatula.

Add the sauce to the taco meat and cook until the taco meat is still saucy, but not watery. 

ADD SAUCE

Plate some cooked rice and surround with shredded lettuce. 

ASSEMBLE TACO RICE

Layer the taco meat and cheese on top of the rice. 

ADD MEAT & CHEESE

Garnish the taco rice with tomatoes, cilantro, and tortilla chips.
