Grilled hanger steak with authentic Japanese teriyaki sauce.
Mix the ginger, garlic, sake, salt and vegetable oil and rub the mixture all over the steaks.
Add equal parts soy sauce, sake and sugar to a pot and boil until it has the consistency of maple syrup.
MAKE TERIYAKI SAUCE
Place the marinated steaks on a hot grill and grill until they have marks on one side.
GRILL THE BEEF
Flip the steaks over and grill the other side until they reach your desired internal temperature.
If you need to let them cook longer, flip them over again and turn 45 degrees for diamond grill marks.
TURN 45 DEGREES
Let the steak for 10 minutes and then slice it against the grain. Drizzle with teriyaki sauce to serve.
